Short version: we do not sell your data, we do not require an account, and the only personal information we hold is what you type into a form.
The short version. You can browse every schedule, port page, and crowd forecast on this site without giving us anything. There is no login, no newsletter signup wall, and no paywall. We use Google Analytics to count visits, and we keep the messages people send through our forms so we can reply.
If you use the contact or advertising form, we receive whatever you type: your name, email address, business name, phone number if you provide one, and your message. We use it to reply to you and nothing else. We do not add you to a mailing list, and we do not pass it to third parties.
Like most websites, our host records standard server logs: IP address, browser type, pages requested, and timestamps. We also use Google Analytics, which sets cookies to measure how many people visit and which pages they read. This tells us that a page was popular, not who you are.
We do not run advertising networks that track you across other sites, and we do not use fingerprinting or session recording tools.
Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish repeat visits. If you submit a form, we start a short-lived PHP session to enforce rate limits and stop spam. That session cookie expires when you close your browser.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site works fine without them. To opt out of Google Analytics specifically, Google publishes a browser add-on.
Form submissions arrive as email and stay in our inbox until we clear them out, typically within a year. Server logs rotate on our host's normal schedule. Google Analytics data is retained according to Google's settings for our property.
Nobody, with three unavoidable exceptions: our web host (DreamHost) processes the traffic that reaches the site, Google Analytics processes the analytics data described above, and our email provider handles form messages. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information.
We link out to cruise lines, the Virgin Islands Port Authority, WICO, the National Weather Service, and local businesses. Once you follow a link, that site's privacy policy applies, not ours.
This site is aimed at people planning travel and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us something, email us and we will delete it.
You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email fly@mango.vi and we will handle it. Since we hold very little, this is usually a quick conversation.
If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be noted clearly rather than slipped in quietly.
